Broadcom was established by a group of engineers from Hewlett-Packard and was originally incorporated in California in 1961 as Hewlett-Packard Associates. The company was reincorporated in California in 1984 as Avago Technologies and then reestablished in Singapore in 2015, before relocating its headquarters back to San Jose, California, United States in 2018, where it is currently headquartered.
